We also feature a walking tour of
the Princeton University Campus. You'll walk from gardens to gargoyles
and witness the old mixed with the new from the Gothic architecture to
the contemporary collection of sculptures. A visit to Nassau Hall will
take you back in time to when it was the meeting place for the
Continental Congress with General Washington (1783), making Princeton
the capital of the United States for a four month period. The
magnificent stained glass windows of the University Chapel are not to be
missed. They will rival anything you have seen anywhere.
This walking tour takes one hour. The driving tour and the walking tour can be combined for a two hour event. A visit to the Princeton University Art Museum will be a memorable experience with its rare collection of Early Mediterranean, Western European and Asian Art. Tour length is optional and lunch or dinner can be incorporated into your visit, as well as shopping time. |
